Measure this, not your dog's weight
- Around the head. Run a soft tape over the top of the skull, across the base of both ears, and under the jaw. Write that number down.
- Two-finger rule. You want to slide two fingers flat under the closed band with no gaping when your dog looks down.
- Between sizes? Take the larger one. The hook-and-loop takes up slack; it can't add length.
- Ear type matters. Drop ears sit under the cover easily. Large upright ears need the band further back — allow a first session for finding the spot.
